Women’s Soccer and Volleyball start off the Deseret First Duel 2018 Rivalry Season
Salt Lake City, UT, September 4, 2018 – The new season of the Deseret First Duel Rivalry between college rivals BYU and Utah begins with two intense competitions. It starts with Women’s Soccer at Utah on Friday, September 7, at 7:00 pm. Last year, the game was a draw after neither team scored in overtime. Who will emerge the victor in this year’s Deseret First Duel Rivalry soccer match?
The following week, the Deseret First Duel Rivalry meets again at BYU with Women’s Volleyball on Thursday, September 13, at 7:00 pm. Last year’s match couldn’t have been more intense, with back-and-forth scoring by both teams in the fifth set. In the end, BYU pulled ahead for a tight 18-16 win on Utah’s court. Will Utah return the favor this year by taking the win at BYU?
Football is scheduled for November 24 at Utah and both Men’s and Women’s Basketball will meet on December 8, with the Women playing at Utah and the Men facing off at Vivint Smart Home Arena.
This is the 12th season of the Deseret First Duel Rivalry, which highlights competition between the Cougars and the Utes in twelve sports, awarding winning teams with athletic scholarship funds.
