Salt Lake City, UT, September 8, 2017 – The Deseret First Duel Rivalry begins at full tilt with three different sports competitions between college rivals BYU and Utah in one week.

The rivalry season begins with a kick on Friday with Women’s Soccer at BYU where they will challenge Utah No. 21.  On Saturday, BYU hosts again at this year’s highly anticipated rivalry football game against Utah No. 23.  Next week, the schools serve it up on Utah’s court with Women’s Volleyball between two nationally ranked teams—BYU No. 10 and Utah No. 18.

The Deseret First Duel highlights competition between the Cougars and the Utes in twelve sports, awarding winning teams with athletic scholarship funds.  The college sports rivalry between BYU and Utah is one of the oldest and strongest in the country.
